I had someone tell me that I needed to put more pictures on my blog ;) So here is a cute one of our little man in daddy's beanie. It is a beautiful day today, Vance is watching a movie and being such a good boy for me today.

Lazy Sunday

Today has been a rainy Sunday. It has made us lazy for the day :) We have been enjoying spending time together and watching football. I have spaghetti sauce simmering in the pot and have sporadically been cleaning the house. Vance took a good nap and when he woke up the three of us enjoyed a lunch of chichn n tots. For those of you who don't speak Vancenese that is chicken and tater tots :) I love days like today where the family spends the day just hanging out and loving each other. Vance and Ryan have been playing "shark". Daddy is the shark and he lets out a loud "rrrrr" Vance pretends to be scared and runs around the kitchen! Then roles reverse, daddy pretends to be scared when Vance yells "rrrrr" and then he bursts into giggles!!!! It is cute and very endearing to watch. He is a great dad!!

Beautiful day

It has been another pretty day in Bremerton. There is a slight chill in the air but no rain :) Vance has been enjoying being able to play outside. We got him a little slide from the Goodwill store the other night and he is in heaven. It is out back next to his little playhouse. I have been hanging pictures the last few days and the house is really beginning to look like our house! :)

Picture one is the room that is supposed to be the dining room. We are going to use it as a guest room when we have the money to furnish it as such. For now it is going to be a workout room. Picture two is the living room. Three is self explanatory the kitchen :) Once I get more things put away I will take more pictures and post them :)

Busy weekend

It was a very eventful weekend. We bought a car this weekend. Of all things a Ford!!!! I say this because neither Ryan or I like Fords. We can't complain though at least we have wheels. It is a Ford expedition. Older but in good condition. Vance is getting along better now. His room is completely set up and it is big enough to house all of his toys and furniture. He is in heaven and wants to play in his room all the time. Today is the first day that it had not rained. Vance is outside right now playing. It is cold outside but it is hard to keep a two year old couped up inside. I am going to do some research to find a park or somewhere we can go and play ball and run around.

Well, it took a week for me to breakdown. Yesterday as I was trying to figure out where to put all of our clothes (with no dressers) I started to cry. Vance was in his room playing and he came into my bedroom and looked at me and said "You okay momma?" He then gave me a hug and said "I be back." He came back into the room with his pooh bear and gave it to me. Then crawled into my lap took my face in his hands wiped my tears and gave me a kiss. I'll pause for all the awwww's............

Then suddenly he started laughing and looked at me and said "Momma, I'm funny!!" You gotta love two year olds :)

Jan. 12th

Good morning all...

Woke up earlier than the birds today. Vance is having problems getting used to his new room. That and for the last three months he has been in the same room as me so when he woke in the middle of the night he was comforted knowing I was right there. So now when he wakes in the middle of the night and realizes I am not there he freaks. This morning at about 3:30 he did just that. Then he refused to go back to sleep until about 6 and Ryan's alarm went off at 7:30. Needless to say I am running on empty and yearning for some Starbuck's!!!!!

Since there isn't a shortage of Starbuck's here I should be content, however, we don't have a car up here yet and I have no idea if there is one in walking distance. The price of starting over is crazy!!! We had to completely replace out cleaning supplies, all toiletries, and all food which includes spices, condiments, meats, you name it!! My heart about dropped into my stomach when the cashier told us the total at the grocery store :) but we are set up with the basics and now it is a matter of time before we are back up and fully operational :)

My husband is amazing!! He gets up and goes to work every day and then comes home to help me with the house. It is coming together nicely. We have some things that we are not sure where we are putting them so they are staying in boxes. I have my kitchen almost complete and the living room is just about there as well. So today I am supposed to be working on the upstairs. Which will be challenging since we did not bring any dressers with us :) So I am off to start my next challenge, until next time.......

Just another manic Monday

Today started out with a BANG!!! We had an appointment for our direct tv to be installed between 8 and 12. So at 8 am sharp there was a knock on the door and it was the cable guy. Talk about prompt service!!! Then there was an issue with drilling the holes for the cable because we didn't have writtne permission from the property management group. WHEW!!! what drama to start the day with. All is good now though, the cable is up and running and Vance is enjoying Go Diego Go!!

To keep things interesting, last night was the first night that I cooked dinner in our new house. Keep in mind that we are not all the way unpacked yet. Well we had gone to the grocery store and purchased one of those Stoffer's frozen enchilada dinners. So I put it in the oven and proceeded to try and find the rest of my kitchen dishes......mainly the silverware. Guess what I never found? That's right.... no silverware!!!!! So here we are with enchiladas cooking and no way of eating them. We don't have a car to be able to run to the store to get some plastic ware for the time being so we improvised. Ryan used a cake spatula, and I used one of Vance's spoons. AHHH beautiful memories made already :)

Moving Day!!!!

Good Morning!!!! It is a crisp, rainy day outside and it is MOVING DAY!!!!! I am sitting in my new house with Vance awaiting Ryan, Bubba (Travis) and thier friend James' arrival with the moving truck. The house is freezing but I have the heaters turned so hopefully it will warm up soon. I am going to make this post short, Vance is restless and wants to play. I will post pictures as soon as I change the batteries in my camera and take some more. Have a Blessed day everyone :)

Day three...

This morning is off to a good start. Vance woke up early :) we have had cereal and coffee (me, not Vance LOL), we have showered and are now watching Dinosaur Train. Anticipation is growing for tomorrow we move into the house!!!!!! (I am secretly doing flips and hootin' and hollerin') I am so excited to get in there and start decorating. Today I have to reserve the Uhaul, do the laundry so everything is clean when we move, and pack up my husband's room that he has been residing in for the last six months. FUN ;)

Vance is getting restless in this house I have not allowed him to take out too many toys and he is getting into everything. But that is the life of a two year old CURIOUS!! He is cute lately his thing is "momma I hold you" it melts my heart :)

It will be fun watching how he adjusts to the new house. There are stairs, which is a new thing for him, but he has been practicing at some houses back in Vegas. He did really good the other night when we were there. I am just hoping that it lasts.

Well time to get a move on. I have a lot to do and should get started. Until next time....

Day two of our new adventure

It is Thursday morning, my new class starts today. International Economics..... yippee :) (not really) Yesterday seemed like the longest day of my life, it drug on FOREVER!!!! I think it is because of the anxiety I have about getting into our own place. I need to have some semblence of belonging again. Currently it feels as if my life hangs in limbo. Which in essence it is. All of my belongings are either in a suitcase or in boxes down the road at our storage. I don't have a vehicle anymore and almost feel like a prisoner instead of an adventurer LOL!! It will all come together soon I know.

The countdown has begun..... two more days and we will be moving into our house. My mind races with all of the items we need to purchase. It is crazy when you think of it, starting a new life consists of a lot of things. We need cleaning supplies, a trash can for the kitchen, laundry detergent, dish soap, stuff for the bathroom, and the list goes on. Where do you start????

To top things off my allergies have been going haywire since just before we left Las Vegas. I can't get a handle on them!! I have taken three different medications over the last couple of days and nothing is working for longer than an hour. Which stinks because you can't take more pills that soon. Oh well, life goes on......

Sorry this post is all over the place. I told you my mind is racing. I feel like a pinball :) boing. boing. boing. Well I should close for now. Give my mind a chance to calm down, besides it is almost time for Vance's nap. Until next time......

Day one of our new adventure in life

Well, it is Wednesday morning and I am sitting here watching Super Why with Vance. We saw the townhouse last night and it is really cute. It has some touches that are great and some others that well just aren't. LOL! I am so proud of my husband, he did a great job securing a place for our family to start out. I wish you all could have seen the aprehension on his face last night as I walked from room to room checking out the house. It was too cute!!

Amber and Travis are amazing they filled Vance's new room with balloons and cars, and balls oh my!! He was so excited he didn't want to leave :) They definitly helped to make this tranisition easier for our little man. We move in on Saturday. So much stuff to get into a smaller house then what we had in Vegas. I have my hands full for the next week or so. My new class starts tomorrow so between school, a new house, a two year old, and a husband I will be quite busy. These are the days that I wish I were more like Gumby ;)
